About Us
Hi my name is Hilary I am a small flower farmer based in Clonbur Co. Galway. I grow cut flowers to sell locally and seasonally, April to September. I always dreamed of owning my own flower shop but struggled with the idea of using imported flowers. Then one day my son, who is obviously wise beyond his years, asked me why I did not grow my own. Thus was born this great adventure.
Using a no dig method to reduce carbon emissions and save my back. I work hard to be as sustainable and nature friendly as possible. There is no plastic packaging in my bouquets. I do not use any pesticides whatsoever. I use only natural fertilisers made in Ireland with natural sustainability managed raw materials and make my own where possible. I use peat free compost. I am currently working on returning just under an acre of the land to being a natural meadow and I also set aside the margins of the flower beds to remain wild for the bees and butterflies
